The thesis examines immigration politic of European commission, respectively its implementation, on the basis of three programmes of European council (Tampere, Hague and Stockholm). It tries to show, whether can the theory of failed policy, which states that countries are not able to control immigration, be applied also for the European union. From the programmes are earmared individual goals, which should European commission start to implement in the next quinquennial period. On their basis then runs the research itself, divided into two parts. First of them tries to answer, whether European commission did fulfill the goals of individual programmes through its regulations, directives and recommendations. The second part reasearches, how were selected legislative proposals implemented in practise and if they served to their purpose. Both parts are interconnected, so that they correspond to individual programmes.

The thesis deals with the current labour migration from the Republic of Serbia to the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to answer three basic questions: What are the push factors for labour migrants from Serbia to emigrate to the Czech Republic? What are the pull factors for labour migrants from Serbia to move to the Czech Republic? Do migration networks play a role in the moving of labour migrants from Serbia to the Czech Republic, and if so, what role is that? To achieve the answers, a qualitative analysis of 27 ethnographic interviews with labour migrants from Serbia, living in the Czech Republic, is used, along with an analysis of migration theories, concepts, and phenomena. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the methodological approach and analysis of available literature. The second part presents relevant migration theories (push-pull theory, migration network theory, neoclassical economic theory, new economic approaches, globalization theory, and transnationalization theory), concepts (gastarbeiter and diaspora), phenomena (brain drain), and terms used in the work. The third part of the thesis provides an analysis of certain aspects of immigration policy and immigration trends in the Czech Republic, as well as migration trends from Serbia to the Czech Republic. Foreinger-Immigrant in the Bible and today: the study of relevant biblical concepts and their contextualization
ŠMÍD, Aleš
The thesis deals with the importance of the foreigner-immigrant and his position in the Bible and today. With the use of the Bible, standard dictionaries and biblical commentaries the goal is to explore the Old and New Testament texts and with the help of exegeses of the secondary authors identify, analyze and critically evaluate impacts of those relevant biblical texts related to the topic of illegal immigration that are a part of immigration discussions today. The aim of the theoretical part was to get acquainted with the appropriate domestic and foreign literature which from the Christian point of view deals with the problematics of the migration and illegal immigration in particular. The practical part consisted in a mutual comparison of various exegeses of relevant biblical texts, highlighting possible similarities and differences resulting from the exegeses and pointing out benefits for the immigration discussion today.
Berlin - the influence of the cultural differences of the inhabitants on the typical features of the contemporary urban space
Moggert, Monika
The aim of the research is to assess public urban space’s architectural and urban changes due to different cultural influences in one part of the urban district of Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg – “Berlin Kreuzberg” – a redevelopment area, which was defined around 1980 by the International Building Competition IBA 1984/87. Through it, photographic records of the individual buildings have been created, which are compared with the current state of the development. The area has a high representation of foreigners and residents with a migration background, and, with 63.5 %, a high share of non-European cultural influences. For comparison, a small part of the urban district of Lichtenberg – “Berlin Lichtenberg” – is selected. The results show the effects of cultural differences (architectural and urban) – changes in groups (Shape, Mass, and Space), as well as, for example, by comparing the number of services in both localities. Based on the data obtained, we can state no radical reconstructions in the “Berlin Kreuzberg” locality have been made. (Moggert, 2022a)
